Playlist: The Ruin of Snow
You all know I can't work without music. Some authors like silence, I don't. Music is such a huge part of getting into the world of my story and getting the characters talking, even learning things about them I need to know before I write, so I love sharing that with you guys. And since The Ruin of Snow comes out next week, have a peek into the soundtrack that inspired it.
Unsurprisingly a lot of the songs on this playlist turned out to be fairytale-inspired. I loved the lush, magical, but often dark feel of these songs and they suit Neyva and her story so well. Neyva particularly loved All the King's Men by The Rigs and Bones by NateWantsToBattle, and I think they tell a lot about who she is and who she becomes.
